DAISY YARNS OF SAN FRANCISCO COMPANY: In the year 2008, I started an ONLINE yarn store named after my dog Daisy. Daisy Yarns of San Francisco believes in taking small steps toward a better world. Maybe you can't save the whole world, but one little change in using products that are free of petroleum will be an excellent start!

BACKGROUND: I used to weigh almost 300 lbs. in 2002 and was not even 5 ft tall. In Dallas, Texas I had gastric bypass surgery that saved my life. In the process, I had to see a number of medical professionals. At one point, I was asked two questions…“What are you going to do to keep your hands off of food?”. I answered ”...knit again?”. The next question was “What are you going to do to exercise?”. I answered again “...get a dog and walk it?”. Daisy Yarns of San Francisco is a direct result of this and my dreams.

Now, at the age of 56 I have started taking Kung Fu lessons in San Francisco at the Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy. It's not easy, but I have learned a lot about patience, respect...and kicking fast & hard! The 50's is a person's starting point in life...actually any point in life where you pursue your dreams!
